About the club

The Fourteen club was set up in 1973. It is an independent social club for people with learning disabilities. At the time it was set up the minimum age for members was 14 - hence the "Fourteen club". Now most of our members are much older, but the name remains.

We aim to provide our members with a fun evening and the chance to socialise.

As well as the regular club meetings we also usually have a summer outing to places such as Legoland, West Midlands safari park and Cadbury world. In the winter we often have a trip to a pantomime.

Our regular fundraising activities include a Christmas draw and a stall in the market square in Wantage.
